Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
